Combination Drilling/Tapping Machines (CDTM) feature a modular design that allows them to function as either direct tapping machines or drilling machines. This versatility provides significant cost savings compared to purchasing separate machines for saddle tapping and direct tapping.
The CDTM1100 model includes components to convert between a TM1100 and a DM1100, while the CDTM2100 model allows conversion between a TM1100 and a DM2100. Operators choose the right kit based on the connection thread . All tapping machine models are equipped with a flip clamp for quick tool engagement with minimal adjustment.
These machines are compatible with REED DT series drill taps, REED D series drill bits, heavy-duty carbide-tipped hole cutters, and PVC/PE shell cutters which are all all sold separately. NPT extended drill adapters are also available as accessories. Additionally, these tapping machines convert for use with power drives. For water utilities or contractors servicing diverse water systems, CDTM machines offer a practical and cost-effective solution.
